Summer Reading Program July & August 2008

Starts Monday, June 16th. Read books all summer, and get a prize every time you read five books or four hours! If you participate, you can come to our Summer Reading Celebration and pick out a prize book! Click the link below to sign up. Visit the library for more information!

In case of rain, the show will be in the Community Room. Space is limited, so come early!

Summer Crafts in The Craft Room!

Come in any day during Summer Vacation, from opening until thiry minutes before closing, and make a craft in our Craft Room! Materials are on our Supply Table, directons on the Work Tables! Be creative and spend some time at the library! (Make sure you take some books home too!)

Crafts start JULY 1st and run through AUGUST 29th

Library Lapsit | Two Year Old Storytime
Preschool Storytimes | After School Book Club

Read, sing, and play with us! We have all kinds of activities, events and programs-all-year-'round-not to mention loads of books, CDs, DVDs, magazines, books-on-CD, CD-ROMS and Playaways you can check out!

 

Library Lapsit--MUSIC and MORE!!

For babies and toddlers, ages 6 months to two years, and their caregiver. An adult must stay with the child. Songs, rhymes and games with performer Jeannie Mack! Music and fun--what could be better? Drop-in.
Thursdays, 10:30 - 11:15
(The last Thursday of the month)

Two Year Old Storytime

For two year olds and their caregiver. An adult must stay with the child. Stories, fingerplays and a craft built on a theme. Five or six week sessions.

Preschool Storytimes

For three to five year olds. Adults must stay in the building. Longer stories, poetry, and a follow-up craft. Five or six week sessions. Registration required. We must have at least eight people register to participate in order to have a program.

After School BookClubs

For First, Second, Third, Fourth and Fifth Graders. Check calendar to see which days are for which children. Share a chapter book in weekly installments - learn to enjoy literature in the library!
Registration Required.

Vacation Crafts!

For all ages! Drop in all day (until 30 minutes before closing) during school vacation weeks in our Craft Room and create a work of art to bring home! If your child cannot read directions, an adult must remain in the Craft Room.

 

*Registration for Library programs is limited to Weston residents for the first week. Open Registration begins the second week.
