Whatcha got cookin?Plato once said "Knowledge is the food of the soul." We agree, but we also know that knowledge of how to prepare food is good for the soul and the body. So this week, we're sharing some of our favorite cooking resources with you. Forget those recipe blogs that make you read a memoir before you get to the recipe- we have the titles that get you straight to the meat (or veggies) of the topic! As a reminder, the library remains closed for the time being in coordination with local/federal directives. Please do not return borrowed materials to the library at this time.To read more about the Library's response to COVID-19/coronavirus, please click here. For updates and information about COVID-19 from the Town of Weston, please visit Weston.org/Covid19 and Weston.org/Health.

Our Favorite Cookbooks and RecipesWeston Public Library staff have been cooking up a storm to find the best recipes to suggest to our patrons. We aren't professional chefs, but neither are most of you! We found some recipes that turned out great, even when made by folks that are better with words than with whisks. First, let's start with something fun from one of our favorite recipe magazines that you can access digitally, Taste of Home- find out what dessert was most popular the year you were born. One of our librarians was less than excited to find our her's was a Creamy Pineapple Pie and wishes she had been born in 1993 or 1940 instead! Spoiler alert, there are A LOT of refrigerator treats for you 50's and 60's babies!
