Kicking off May with a salute to mom & a new book groupIt's officially the first full week of May! We're kicking off this lovely month by announcing a new virtual book group for adults, a few reading suggestions from staff, and by featuring books you can borrow from the comfort of home that showcase how much mom means to us! As a reminder, the library remains closed for the time being in coordination with local/federal directives. Please do not return borrowed materials to the library at this time.To read more about the Library's response to COVID-19/coronavirus, please click here. For updates and information about COVID-19 from the Town of Weston, please visit Weston.org/Covid19 and Weston.org/Health.

We have been missing our book groups so much! If you also miss connecting with other readers or if you want to join in for the first time in a no-pressure, come-as-you-are book discussion group, Virtual Book Group is for you! We have picked a short book with a lot of local interest, Writers and Lovers by Lily King. The book is available on Hoopla Digital at https://www.hoopladigital.com/title/12838962 and using the Hoopla App.
After reading the book, join us for a virtual book discussion using Zoom on May 20th, at 7 PM. Simply email wsnmail2@minlib.net to register (just so we know where to send the Zoom meeting link).
If you want to get a little more insight into the mind of the author, Lily King will be "appearing" virtually at Wellesley Books on May 6th at 7 PM. For more info, visit https://www.wellesleybooks.com/event/lily-king.

Celebrate mom with these great digital titlesMother's Day is coming and we want to celebrate moms, mother-figures, mother's-in-law, and the other special people that helped raise and support you. Check out these books about some lovely moms and some that are a little more unconventional. We even included a one that can help you pamper mom a little bit (might we suggest breakfast in bed? Just don't forget to do the dishes before mamma gets up!).

Missed the COA program on how to use your digital library? Watch now! Last week, the Council on Aging was nice enough to host a virtual "how-to" session on accessing digital library services with Assistant Director, Alli Palmgren. Weston Media Center recorded the Zoom meeting and it is now available on Verizon Channel 41 & 45, Comcast Channel 8 & 9 and online: https://weston.vod.castus.tv/vod/?video=8e0a7b5a-226a-4ebf-9a32-274b259a9b3b&nav=recent
A big thank you to our wonderful friends at the COA and Weston Media for helping to spread the word about what the library can offer.
