Need a getaway? We have a few ways to keep your wanderlust at bay! After what seemed like a rather dreary stretch, the sun is shining and it just feels like it is time to get out and move. We hope you are enjoying plenty of socially distant time outdoors in Weston, but we know that many of us are also aching to travel. So in this edition of The Latest Word, we hope we can scratch that travel itch just a little bit! Our Film Club @ Home is back to recommend a few flicks from globetrotting adventurers and we have some books that take you far away for when it isn't exactly safe to move about the cabin. As a reminder, the library remains closed for the time being in coordination with local/federal directives. Please do not return borrowed materials to the library at this time.To read more about the Library's response to COVID-19/coronavirus, please click here. For updates and information about COVID-19 from the Town of Weston, please visit Weston.org/Covid19 and Weston.org/Health.

Celebrate Memorial Day a new way Although Memorial Day has become a time for grilling and chilling in the back yard with the family, let us not forget that it is specifically a day to remember and honor those who have died in service to the nation. The VA has some great information on the history of Memorial Day if you are interested in knowing how this day of remembrance came about. If you are looking for a safe way to celebrate Memorial Day, PBS is keeping up with their tradition of airing the National Memorial Day Concert at https://www.pbs.org/national-memorial-day-concert/ or on your local PBS station On Sunday, May 14 at 8 PM.
