Weston Vaccine Clinics

The Governor has announced that the state will no longer provide first doses of vaccine to towns to run clinics with the exception of a handful of high risk communities. This means the Weston Board of Health cannot run any further clinics unless that changes. This does not apply to people who have already received the first dose from a Weston clinic. Any resident who has already received their first dose at a Weston clinic will be notified when the second vaccine dose has arrived and sent an email to schedule your appointment.

Are you eligible for a vaccine?

As of February 18th, 2021 if you are age 65 or older or have two approved medical conditions you are now eligible to receive a vaccine.

How to schedule a vaccine appointment

To schedule an appointment you need an abundance of patience and perseverance. The state has two official websites set up to find vaccine appointments.

https://vaxfinder.mass.gov/

https://www.maimmunizations.org/

To schedule an appointment by phone you can call 2-1-1.

There are several large vaccination sites including the Natick Mall, Fenway Park, the Doubletree in Danvers and Gillette  Stadium.

Some pharmacies in the area are vaccine sites including the CVS in Wayland on Main Street and the CVS in Newton. We hear that the pharmacy vaccine sites release appointments for the same day the next week at midnight. For example if you wanted an appointment for Saturday the 27th you may want to try the online system at midnight on Saturday the 20th.

The Hannaford in Waltham, Wegmans in Chestnut Hill and several Walgreen Pharmacies (not currently including the Weston Walgreens) are also offering appointments.

We are told that appointments are added regularly and people should keep checking until they find an appointment.

Be sure to have all your information ready, the online forms are lengthy and you will need your insurance information.
