Walk & Talk with the Town Manager

Wednesday, October 13, 10:00-11:00, Meet at the COA at 9:50

Take a walk around the Case Campus with Weston Town Manager Leon Gaumond. This is a great opportunity to get to know our town manager and to learn more about town projects like housing, road and infrastructure projects. Questions and conversation are encouraged. Flu Clinic

The Weston Board of Health is hosting a flu clinic in conjunction with the Weston Emergency Reserve Corps on Wednesday, October 13th. The clinics are for Weston residents 6 months of age and up. COVID-19 vaccines will not be available.

Registration is required. Register online for a time slot - If you need assistance with registering online, please call the Council on Aging at 781-786-6280. Masks required.

Coburn Meadow Trail Walk

Thursday, October 14, 10:00, Meet at 9:50

Enjoy the beautiful Coburn Meadow walk. The trail is mostly flat with one area that has a moderate climb. There will be a freshly-mowed path through the meadow. The majority of the walk is forested trail. Distance is approximately 1.5 miles and 45 minutes at an easy pace. The group will meet at 9:50 at the trail head at the end of Old Coach Rd. Park on Old Coach Road which is the first left off of Lantern Lane. Space is limited. Please wear sturdy hiking shoes and bring a water, snack and cell phone. A walking stick is encouraged. Local and Global Discussion Group Global Supply Chains

Thursday, October 14, 1:15-3:00 on Zoom

The U.S. has begun to redefine the role of government in the domestic economy in order to help corporations compete better with China. Wayne Johnson, nationally renowned expert in domestic and international innovation ecosystems, will lead us in the discussion. Among other areas of the topic, we’ll discuss if China is an economic partner or strategic economic threat; can China be brought back into an American-led international economic system; which other countries in the global supply chain are major players. These meetings are open to all interested in a civil discussion of the issues with a wide variety of participants.
