We're all friends at the Weston Public Library. Sure, you can become a member of the Friends of the Weston Public Library, but the WPL is also a place to make friends. Let us help you find your people (not in the genealogical sense, but we have databases for that too, like Ancestry, American Ancestors, Heritage Hub, and HeritageQuest). Are you in the mood for love?

Join us on the 4th Monday of the month at 7 PM to discuss a different romance novel at each meeting. From sweet to steamy, all kinds of romance novels are fair game, so be prepared to read a modern meet-cute romance one month and a Victorian bodice ripper the next. We will save time to "kiss and tell" about other books we've been reading over the past month as well.

Although we might throw a young adult or emerging adult title into the mix now and again, this book discussion group is meant for patrons 18+. We will be talking about mature themes and complicated adult relationships.

Our first ever meeting is on February 27 in the Reading Room at 7 PM. We will start by reading "Red, White, and Royal Blue" by Casey McQuiston. Physical copies are available at the Circulation Desk and digital versions can be found on Overdrive/Libby and Hoopla.

For Teens Who Tech

New session starting soon! Informational meeting February 28th

Girls Who Code is an international nonprofit working to close the gender gap in technology. Clubs are free after-school programs for 6-12th grade teens to use computer science to impact their community and join the sisterhood of supportive peers and role models. 

Club girls join a safe and supportive environment of peers and role models and learn to see themselves as computer scientists. Teens learn the concepts of loops, variables, conditionals, and functions that form the basis for all programming languages -- whether they want to build a website, an app, or a robot.

Casual chatter in our cozy Reading Room

Thursdays, 7-8:30 PM
