Kanopy

New service: Kanopy streaming video

We are now offering a new streaming video service called Kanopy! Think of it like Netflix for the intellectually curious, but FREE for Weston residents with library cards. It has a ton of great content: indie films, award winning films, art films, documentaries, classic movies, and awesome kids content! To access Kanopy, simply visit  http://westonpl.kanopy.com  or download the Kanopy app (IOS or Android), click "sign up" and follow the prompts. That's it.
The nitty-gritty:
  • Patrons will be able to borrow up to 8 titles each month
  • In addition to using Kanopy on computers, smartphones, and tablets, you can use it on Chromecast and with a Roku on your TV!
If you need any help, simply call the library at 781-866-6150 or book an appointment with our tech guru by clicking here.

Chimes at Midnight

Join our resident film buff for a screening of Chimes at Midnight

When we think of Orson Welles, the first thing that comes to mind is Citizen Kane, and then maybe The Magnificent Ambersons, but just as often (and less charitably), we remember his deep, mellifluous voice shilling wine or trading witticisms with Johnny Carson or the Muppets. Now it is your chance to remember Orson Welles for what he considered to be his best work. Chimes at Midnight is a period comedy-drama based on Shakespeare's Falstaff. Join our resident film buff on Wednesday April 3rd, 6:30 PM for a discussion and screening of Chimes at Midnight.

Something for everyone
