Massachusetts in Film

Film Club: Massachusetts in Film

Starting this May, the Film Club will launch a new series, “Massachusetts in Film.”

Given the state’s history and diversity, spanning from Alcott to the Afflecks, choosing a lineup that catches the essence of the Commonwealth has been a challenge.  But with a line-up that includes some venerable icons and rare gems, the list will be eclectic and not necessarily chronological, with Little Women, The Thomas Crown Affair, Good Will Hunting, The Social Network and of course, films involving the Kennedys and Cape Cod. All films will involve a brief introduction and post screening discussion. Screening dates and times will be posted on our event calendar shortly.

If you have any suggestions or old favorites, please contact Doc Crane, the Weston Public Library’s resident film buff, at the Circulation Desk and we'll see if we can get permission to show it.
