Construction Begins Week of June 17th

P. Gioioso & Sons, the contractor constructing the updated Town Center has started light preparation work and tree protection in the Town Center. Test pits will continue the week of the 17th, as will tree protection and some tree trimming.

Drainage work will also begin during this week and will continue down Boston Post Road, from west to east. Crews will start in the vicinity between Fiske Lane and Concord Road, which will be reduced to a single lane for traffic.

Access to homes and businesses will always be maintained.

Work will begin at 7:00 a.m. and generally conclude around 3:00 p.m., though some days may go a bit longer.

Planned Work Activity for June

P. Gioioso & Sons has produced a map detailing the area of construction for the remainder of the month of June. These maps will continue to be produced during the project and will be posted to the Town's website on the project web page at www.weston.org/TownCenter.

The June map can be accessed through this link.

Three-week Look Ahead

P. Gioioso & Sons has also produced a work activity grid with the anticipated work and sites where crews are anticipated to be working over the next three weeks. This grid will continue to be produced and posted to the project web page.

As with all construction projects, work is anticipated and subject to certain conditions such as weather. The June 17th three-week look ahead can be accessed through this link.

Detour - Traffic Management Plan

Police detail will be on site. During the first phase of drainage work, the one-way direction of Fiske Lane will be reversed during construction hours to accommodate traffic heading west. See the Traffic Management Plan, which is also posted to the project web page and will be updated as work continues.

Parking

The 12 parking spaces along Fiske Park will be closed during the construction day. As work continues down Boston Post Road, street parking in the work area will be closed during work hours. Pedestrian access to businesses will be maintained since work is "between the curbs."

“NO PARKING” signs will be posted 24-hours in advance of road work. We ask that you take notice of these signs and please refrain from parking in these areas during the posted hours.
