Construction Update - July 1st

Drainage work will continue this week to approximately house no. 527 on the Post Road. The road will continue to be reduced to a single lane for traffic. Construction crews will not be on site July 4th or 5th. In looking ahead to the week of July 8th, similar site work and conditions can be expected.

It is anticipated that the week of July 15th water service work will move down Boston Post Road from Concord Road to Town House Road. This work is isolated and not as impactful as the drainage and ductbank work at Fiske Lane to Concord Road. Refer to the Three-week Look Ahead document for anticipated work. This document is updated weekly and is on the project web page at Weston.org/TownCenter.

Access to homes and businesses will always be maintained
Weston Police is on site

Detour - Traffic Management Plan

Work will begin at 7:00 a.m. and generally conclude around 3:00 p.m., though some days may go a bit longer.

Police detail is on site to direct traffic. At times, when work dictates, the one-way direction of Fiske Lane will be reversed to accommodate traffic heading west. Watch for posted signs in the vicinity.

Parking

The 12 parking spaces along Fiske Park are closed temporarily. As work continues down Boston Post Road, street parking will be closed during work hours. Pedestrian access to businesses will be maintained since work is "between the curbs."

NO PARKING signs will be posted 24-hours in advance of road work. We ask that you take notice of these signs and to refrain from parking in these areas during the posted hours.

Trees

Tree protection has been installed around the trees located in the planned construction area.

The Planning Board will be holding a public hearing on July 10th at 7:30 p.m. to discuss the removal of two trees on Boston Post Road (a designated Scenic Road).

Tree trimming is also anticipated to occur mid to late July. The project's landscape architect will be on site during this process to ensure the health of the trees is protected.
