While there are still plenty of awesome programs for kids and adults happening in September, our regular fall lineup, including storytimes, will not begin until the first week in October, with signups starting in mid-September. Program Spotlight: Shakespeare with Stephen Collins

September 25, 3:00 PM
Who had more effect on the English language than William Shakespeare? He created over 1700 common words that before him were either used in a new manner or didn't exist at all!

Acclaimed local actor Stephen Collins brings the Bard's words to life, performing as the villainous Edmund of King Lear and Iago of Othello, The Tempest’s enigmatic Prospero, and the ridiculous Nick Bottom of A Midsummer Night’s Dream and others. Shakespeare's tragedies, comedies, histories, and Sonnets are all represented in this exciting show.

Permits to the Transfer Station expire on September 30th. So, what does the Library have to do with that?

This year, the Public Works Department will not be mailing the Transfer Station Permit application packet to every household. The permit application can be downloaded at www.weston.org/TransferStation or it can be picked up in the Library. By eliminating this annual town-wide mailing, Weston will be reducing its carbon footprint, saving tax-payer dollars, and reducing the amount of paper used and tossed away.

Did you know, you can renew your transfer station permit online? If you have the same vehicle as last year, visitwww.weston.org/TSPermits to find the 2019/2020 rates and the online renewal portal. Pop in the Library to use one of our computers to renew online or to print off (or pick up) the application. If you prefer good old fashioned mail, call 781-786-5100 to request an application be mailed to you.
